TOKYO, JAPAN, March 5, 2024 / — Sustainable Lab Inc., (the provider of TERRAST for Enterprise, which is an ESG data collection and analytics solution) has been selected by Credit Guarantee Corporation of Tochigi (hereinafter referred to as “CGCT”) , headquartered in Tochigi prefecture, to promote the “Sustainable Management Promotion Guarantee Program”. The program aims to collect and analyze non-financial data of guaranteed companies in accordance with the handbook formulated by the Sustainability Data Standardization Consortium(hereinafter referred to as “SDSC”).
This new program, starting on March 3, 2025, has a role to enhance local SME’s sustainability and transparency by encouraging the use of non-financial information alongside traditional financial data. The program is designed to support SMEs actively engaging in sustainable management practices by offering funding at reduced guarantee fee rates. Sustainable Lab will be responsible for collecting and analyzing non-financial data from the SMEs participating in this program, and the data collection platform (TERRAST for Enterprise) aligns with the guidelines set by the Sustainability Data Standardization Consortium(SDSC), ensuring that the data collected meets the program’s standards.
Again, through this initiative, Sustainable Lab aims to facilitate the integration of non-financial data into business practices, promoting sustainable management among a broader range of SMEs. The company plans to continue strengthening collaborations with guarantee and financial institutions, as well as the SDSC, to support corporate growth and develop new solutions based on the accumulated non-financial data.

About Sustainability Data Standardization Consortium(SDSC)
SDSC was established with the support of various financial institutions, relevant ministries and agencies, SME-related organizations, and other related companies and organizations in Japan, with the aim of providing “sustainability information disclosure that is useful for all types of decision making, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)”. The main members are megabanks and government agencies. The main members are domestic banks, including megabanks and government-affiliated financial institutions (over 60 member banks, with a domestic market share of about 92% in terms of deposits), as well as the Bankers Association of Japan, CRD Association, and various industry organizations, with the participation of the Financial Services Agency as an observer.
